Terracotta Army

Posted on Nov 30, 2017

First discovered in 1974 by farmers in China, an underground army of nearly 8,000 life-size terracotta figures is known as one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century. Discovered one mile east of the known burial site of the First Emperor of China (r. 221–210 BC), or Qin Shihuang, the terracotta army was created to accompany the emperor to the afterlife. This exhibition features ten majestic terracotta figures, including a cavalry horse, among 130 works that tell the story of China’s birth and one man’s lasting imprint on a nation.

Here are the broadcast commercials and social videos I produced for marketing the exhibition:

And what’s it like to work here? (….It’s FUN!)

Native American Artist videos

Posted on Sep 29, 2017

This summer I had the opportunity to film Native American artists in their homes out in the Southwest. I was impressed by each artist’s labor-intensive process and by the strong connections to the land and the sacredness in all living things.

Art, Movement, and Friendship

Promoting Art for Life Enrichment Through Transgenerational Engagement (PALETTE) is an intergenerational art program, in which active older adults are paired with undergraduate and graduate students to participate in creative arts activities.

After two successful years of visual arts classes, PALETTE began “PALETTE in Motion”, a class that explores dance and movement arts. In all their programs, PALETTE helps to break down generational barriers to change the way we view aging.

Here is the previous video I made for PALETTE’s visual arts program:
